My computer is a piece of shit
The main reason for this is Windows. I hate microsoft. I'm going mac as soon as I have a job and money.
I came home to find that my "C" drive was almost full. I've got windows on that drive, and it complains if it doesn't have at least 200MB of free space, it prefers at least 460MB. So I moved a bunch of crap to my other hard drive. As I counted it I've moved and/or deleted files from my "C" drive in the area of about 700MB worth. I had 176MB free when I came home, so you'd think that I'd have about 900 free megs on my "C" drive now, right? No, as of now (I just checked) I have exactly 25MB free. What the fuck?! I can't figure out what the hell it is.
Second problem with my computer, which I just discovered about ten minutes ago when I went to transfer photos from my camera to my computer so I could put them on flickr: My computer doesn't detect my camera. I was thinking, "But I have XP, it should auto-recognize just about anything." Assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups, including microsoft windows.
Ok, you say, not a big deal that my camera wasn't detected automatically, all I need to do is go into the control panel and manually add my camera, right? Wrong. I go to do that, I select "add camera" and then it pulls up a list of camera manufacturers for me to select. "Sony" is not one of my choices.
