(no subject)
I have a nightstand! Well, actually, it's just a bar stool but hey it works for me. It's the perfect height, parallel with the bed. No more reaching down for the phone or having to stretch to hit the snooze button on the alarm. It's awesome. I also experimented with Jamie's Lightning playoffs t-shirt. I put it in an album frame. It looks okay but it would definitely look better in a larger frame, maybe with all his hockey ticket stubs. Hmm...
Anyway, I had a good day. I went to the Modern to check out the Picasso and Anselm Kiefer exhibits. Both exhibits were impressive, especially the Kiefer exhibit. His pieces are incredible, especially his paintings. I love that he creates these giant paintings. He really makes you feel like you're in his paintings but, considering my short stature, it may just be my perspective. Plus, the detail in his attic pieces. Oh my gosh, I can't believe the detail of the wood!! I was in awe of his work. It's amazing! It's a great exhibit. I really, really wished Jamie could have been there to see it. However, I'm definitely in for checking it out again if he's interested. I'd love to share the experience with him if he's game.
So, that was my afternoon. The evening was good as well. I spent some time with Rosemary just hanging out and talking about anything. I gave her a tour of my apartment and then we had some dinner. We couldn't make it to the movie tonight but maybe we'll have another chance this week.
You know, I miss Jamie. It's not like how I missed him on Thursday and Friday. Then, I missed him because I was lonely and wanted someone to pass the time with. Yesterday and today, I miss him because I want to share my happiness with him. I want to tell him what made me feel good and the things that made me laugh. I'm going to be excited to see him when he comes home. I look forward to hearing about his trip. I love that guy. His idiosyncrasies drive me crazy at times (when I'm not PMS'ing) but he wouldn't be the same without them. :)
