Gokudera's voice woke him up. Tsuna blearily blinked his eyes open. He had no idea how long he had slept, but it seemed like it had already begun to get dark outside.
"Tsuna? What were you--?" Gokudera asked him, wide eyed, standing kind of frozen in the doorway.
Rubbing at his eye, Tsuna smiled at the use of his given name. It still made butterflies flutter through his chest every time he heard Gokudera call him by it. "I was waiting for you to come home. I found some of your notes, sorry for making such a mess. I should probably call Mom and tell her I'll stay over or she'll worry." Tsuna yawned, stood up, crossed half of the room, bend down to get his mobile phone out of the rucksack he brought along. When he straightened back up, Gokudera was still staring at the spot on the bed Tsuna had just vacated and didn't seem to have moved at all. Just like that, the rest of Tsuna's brain finally woke up, too, and helpfully informed him about what he had just said and exactly how he looked like right now. Yep, even his jeans were still unbuttoned and hung low on his hips, barely staying up at all. He knew his hair must look like a giant birds' nest and his hands felt sticky. Not to say how the air in here must smell like.
Tsuna flushed crimson.
"Uhm..." he said, cringing in embarrassment, "I-I didn't mean to go through your stuff?"
Gokudera opened his mouth, looked over at him, flushed equally red, closed his mouth and snapped his eyes quickly away again. Tsuna could see him swallowing. Once, twice.
"I-- Actually, it was an accident! I was just trying to get that sock from behind your desk and then I knocked all those notes onto the floor and then I found these and-- I'm sorry." Tsuna licked his lips, nervously.
There was silence.
"Gokudera? Say something? Please?" When Tsuna looked back up from the floor to Gokudera, the other boy was blinking rapidly. At least he was moving and not still frozen in place, Tsuna thought. Then Gokudera shook his head and caught Tsuna's gaze with his own. There was still color high on his cheeks.
"Why. Why would you want to get a sock from behind the desk?" he asked, bewildered.
"Because I threw it there?" Tsuna answered truthfully. Well, it was nearly the complete truth.
"Okay," Gokudera said and then there was another silence. Tsuna shifted from foot to foot.
"I'm sorry. Please don't be angry. I'm sorry," he said, holding tightly onto his mobile phone in his hands.
"Te-- Tsuna! I'm not angry!" Gokudera loudly replied at once. His voice was kind of scratchy. "I'm not angry. I thought you'd be-- because I--"
"Why would I be angry at you?" Tsuna asked incredulously, straightening up more.
"For once because I'm a giant creep and could probably release a whole encyclopedia about gay sex practices? I'm sorry for being such a creep! I understand if you won't ever forgive me!" Gokudera exclaimed, nearly wailed and Tsuna was really glad that he had mostly stopped throwing himself onto the ground whenever he was feeling sorry for something he'd done. Tsuna shook his head. Okay, this was just them being ridiculous again. Nothing to be worried about.
"Gokudera, I'm not angry at-- Ha-Hayato, I'm not angry at you at all," he amended and now Gokudera was really looking at him and Tsuna willed him to understand just with his eyes, but of course that's not how they worked, they had to spell everything out or else there would be unnecessary and completely idiotic misunderstandings. Like right now. "I'm not angry and I'm glad that you wrote those notes and I'm glad I found them." Tsuna took a deep breath and he felt the heat in his cheeks rising again, but he plunged on, "I know you noticed that I-- that I, when I read these and I thought about you writing these and thinking about doing these things, doing these things to me, with me, that I-- that I just couldn't help myself and--" Tsuna broke off, but not because he had lost the courage to finish that sentence. No, because Gokudera was kissing him.
