(no subject)
What a winter for illness! I think I've been sick more often this winter than I have in the past few winters combined. Luke's in the same boat as I am, and his normally "I'm not sick - I just have a few symptoms" father has had his fair share as well. It seems like we'll get over one sickness and be well for a few days, and then one of us will get sick again and the cycle starts again. Well, all we can do is wash our hands all the time and try to get enough sleep. I'm hoping the cycle will stop once winter's over. And I hear that Phil stayed up out of his hole, so maybe Spring isn't so far away. I would like to get a ski trip in before that happens though...
I recently found out that 2 of my friends from college are recently engaged! I don't know if either of them read my journal but CONGRATULATIONS to Nickie and Denicia!!!!! I don't keep in touch as well as I'd like, but I'm glad I found out about such exciting news! I don't have too much to say, but... I'm excited!!!!
I just received some curtains I ordered for Luke's room. When we got our new windows (Did I mention we got new windows upstairs? They are awesome!) his blinds no longer fit. So, I went and bought some blackout shades (perfect timing, as the sun is starting to get up earlier now), except that they did not really work without drilling into the framing of our new windows. We were reluctant, so I ordered curtains instead. Now they are here. YAY! (Wow, I'm excited over curtains... nerd.)
We have discovered that Luke likes to put things in the trash. Is that where all the missing pieces to his toys went??? Mental note: Check the trash every once in awhile for items that may not belong.
