dw100 Challenge #21 Boats
It wasn't that he hated the sea, or sailing, it was the sense of timelessness; afloat on a blue horizon with no way to tell how fast or how far he'd traveled. In a more modern age he'd tap the nav computer, hack its programming so that shore leave would come sooner rather than later. But in a more modern age, he wouldn't have been pressed to the Queen’s service to start with. Not that he was bad at it, this sailoring bit, and he toyed with some piratical ideas, but time weighed heavy and he was itching to run.
