There's a brief flicker of something that's almost amusement and almost rage in Hibari's eyes, but it's gone as fast as it appeared.
He's never liked others- other people, other versions- No. Not even as his eyes flick to the ring on the other man's hand. Oh, and that, that's worth more than all the deaths in the world. To hold a power of that strength...
'It's enough to make anyone envious, waving that around.'
Hibari inclined his head, acknowledging both the obvious misanthropy (he used to be like that once, but Reborn and circumstances and Mukuro had taught him better, taught to him - if not like - but at least tolerate and it was so very nostalgic to see someone with his face behaving like he used to) and the envy. He did not chuckle, did not smile, because he knew himself the best of all, and he doubted that any version would be of good humour enough to be laughed at.
"Does it," it wasn't a question, but a statement. He asked very little questions, nowadays (he shaped them into demands now, even more than before).
"What then do you hold if this cause you envy, Hibari Kyouya?" he drawled out the name, almost tasting it on his tongue. He had never addressed anyone else like this before.
If he was younger, or if the ring was not weighing on his hand, he would have attacked the other man long ago.
There are so, so many triggers to people. And in their youth- so many more than just simple things. It's the thought of that more than anything else that brings a touch of a smile to the edges of Hibari's lips. The man in front of him's more of a mirror of three years past, a reflection of what could have been and never was.
Sawada Tsunayoshi is long dead, Namimori's time has passed.
And he's always been one to satisfy his own desires, but this other version (in another life, another world-) of him is hardly worth that much thought. It's not a power that he can have, and on that basis alone, his interest in this does not extend quite that far.
'If you're as curious as that-'
But Hibari Kyoya, curious in someone apparently weaker than himself? Oh, that would be the day.

"Wao," he echoed the other man, resting his head lightly on his right, be-ringed hand.

Oh, envy only approaches what that power means.

If you're weak enough to need to seek out information from me, then you're not even worth my time.
