Hello, job.
Well, sort of a job. It's actually consulting work with a small local consulting outfit. The pay really puts the 'insulting' in consulting, but it's something to tide me over for a while. After a drought of several months, they're swamped with work and low on manpower, so the owner seems pretty relieved to have me available. They apparently run on a shoestring, but maybe after a little while I could turn the thumbscrews with regard to pay. In any case, I spent today cleaning up after an sql-injection attack, and tomorrow I'll start plugging holes in the client's desperately-begging-for-an-assraping web app. It's Windows stuff, which I am always hoping to avoid, but they also do a lot of Linux, so there's that to look forward to.
