Tomorrow, I'm going to have a discussion with my students on (reverse) culture shock as part of our discussion on cultural change. Part of me really wants to have this discussion, because it means something to me and it's important, but I'm also a bit worried that it may be too much information for my students, precisely because it's such a personal subject (when I came back from Spain, I had reverse culture shock pretty strongly, and it took me several months to gather myself). It's not a topic I normally discuss with people. I'm definitely going to go through with the discussion, but we'll see how it goes.
On the plus side, I have a good idea of what to do with the remainder of the discussion period (think a talking doll with a cell phone).
I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes.
