You guys, why do mosquitoes live in Madrid in July? Why, I ask you? I am covoered in bites! Shouldn´t mosquitoes be withering in this heat?
But... we´re going to Sevilla on Thursday!!! Yay! Not having been in Sevilla for two years but having thought of it nearly every day since the day I left, I´m looking forward to seeing the city again and seeing if it resembles my memories. I hope my host parents are still at the same address (there´s a long story behind why they might have moved), I´d love to see them again.
I say that Barcelona´s much more exciting than Madrid.
We saw Guernica (the painting) the other day, it was powerful and moving and really, really sad. There´s so much to say about it, of the Spanish Civil War and Franco and World War II, of loss and suffering and sadness. How much suffering do humans needlessly cause that shouldn´t happen?
