What say you to a Chuck/SGA AU x-over. Believe it or not I've had this idea in mind ever since I saw the first episode of Chuck, but initially it was Rodney as the intersect and I couldn't figure out how John fit in... then I suddenly had an epiphany... What if John were the intersect?
“That’s him,” John said, hand going to Rodney’s wrist to hold him in place.
Rodney looked over at the tall skinny man-- no, boy, tall skinny boy-- with a mop of curly brown hair and a sweet lopsided smile as he talked with wildly expressive hands to the man and three kids over by the HD televisions.
“Him,” Rodney asked, incredulous. “Really?”
“I was expecting someone more like…”
“You, yeah,” Rodney said, stepping forward and frowning at John’s hand where it still clamped down on his wrist. “Do you mind? It’s kind of the reason we’re here.”
The man-slash-boy obviously took note of them in that moment and Rodney watched transfixed as his eyes glazed over and darted back and forth furiously, just as John’s did moments before.
“Yep,” John said. “Definitely him.” He looked around. “He probably has a handler somewhere around… behind me.”
Rodney turned to look at him and saw John standing ramrod straight with his hands held up, a man scowling at his back and standing entirely too close. “John?”
“These guys,” the man called over and the man-boy nodded fervently. The man smiled slowly and Rodney’s gut went cold. “Now. In five words or less, explain to me who you are and what you’re doing here. Go.”
Rodney balked, mouth falling open. “If you think we can explain to you who we are and what we’re doing here in five words or less you are lacking in basic math skills because our names alone would take up no fewer than four of those five and--”
John clenched his jaw. “Sheppard. Intersect. Escaped from Ring.”
The man tilted his head and smirked at Rodney. “Your friend here did just fine,” he said, and then John flinched and slowly started to move forward. “This place is teaming with agents, so I suggest you follow me quickly and quietly or any one of these guys will have you hogtied in three seconds flat,” he said, and as they passed him, Rodney sees the flashing metal of a gun poking into John’s back.
Rodney started to argue but the man’s gaze hardened and he let out a growl-- an actual growl, one that would make even a Rottweiler pause and take notice-- and Rodney shut his mouth and followed.
Yay? Nay? Put down the crackpipe and slowly step away, Kelly?
