Eh - I understand how you feel. I'm a big-time supporter, but I'm nervous too. I fully expect him to be so caught-up in cleaning up this mess the country's in that a lot of these lofty promises probably WON'T be fulfilled in one, or even two terms. He may just be the guy to lay the groundwork for change.
One thing I do distinctly remember about his campaign, though? I don't think I really ever heard him say anything to the effect of "I can change things." What I remember him clearly saying is "We can change things." Not just semantics - big difference, there. He's just one imperfect man - one who's going to have his hands very full juggling problems that could easily occupy multiple Presidents full-time.
He seems to know he's not the Bringer Of Change, we all are. We have to stay involved with our government and work WITH them at all levels to help bring this about. The work's just starting, and not just for him. For us, too. That's the only way a lot of this is going to happen, is if we do our share of pushing and prodding.
