There's some bull riding rodeo type thing on my tv right now, and just. Why? No, seriously. Why? Why do people do this? Why is this a lifestyle? Hi, I'm going to get on top of this big honkin' bull, who weighs about as much as my car, have them buck me so hard my wrist could break or my neck could snap, and then hope that maybe they won't buck me and then stomp on my head and SHATTER IT! So what if it's not even all that uncommon to be GORED in this "sport". So what if this is the easiest way to be killed in front of a large crowd? So what if it's uh, pretty much impossible to NOT get hurt doing it? LOOK MAW, I GOT ME A BULL HORN UP MY ASS, AIN'T'CHA PROUD?!?!
Sorry. I'm sorry. I can't watch this shit. I can't. I bite my nails to the goddamn quick. Seriously, they sit on the bull with their hand like, locked to the thing that they hold on to, and then they last 4 seconds or so on this bull that's buckin' them so hard their HATS are falling off and their fuckin' neck is snapping back if forth, and then when they fall off RIGHT ON THEIR NECKS the bull nearly STOMPS RIGHT ON THEIR NECK and they walk away clutching their likely broken arm/hand/leg/whatthefuckever, and just. I don't get it. I don't get it.
No, darlin', I DON'T think this makes you a man, I think this makes you stupid. There are plenty of people who risk their lives, okay? Firemen, cops, soldiers. But those guys? Generally? They're risking their lives for an actual PURPOSE. You? You're just sitting on a bull hoping that this time won't be the time you break your neck or get gored to death in front of a crowd of rodeo goers.
Don't get it. Can someone explain it to me? Cause I doubt you can.
