Still working on the whole HTML thing. All I've managed is to kind of sort of a little bit of an ability to change what someone else has already written. Not sure I'll ever be able to acutally write it from scratch without taking an actually class or reading an extensive book, but whatever. It works for now. In any case, that's not what I wanted to talk about at all.
I wanted to rant about my new Digimon/Takari fanfiction that has been brewing in my brain for the past few weeks that I'm determined not to write until I finish my Digimon/Sorato one. But I'm having a whole other set of problems with that one.
I had this idea of placing characters in various fairy tales and going with it from there. (See my fanfiction profile for more info about that.) I was going to place TK and Kari in the roles of Cinderella, but the more I thought about it, the more doing a Sora/Matt Cinderella appealed to me. But I still wanted to do a Takari fic. So I picked Aladdin. Rich girl. Poor boy. Genie in the lamp. The whole shebang.
Only the storyline is getting so twisted and tangled beyond your normal Aladdin-isk story, I'm wondering if I should just throw out the lamp and go with what I've got. Because I really like the story I've cooked up, but I'm worried that if its too different from the original fairy tale that people might think I've just stuck the genie in there to count it as part of the Modern Fantasy Tales.
So I guess I just gotta figure out a better way to keep the lamp and wishes in there that doesn't seem so superficial. It doesn't help that I keep thinking if TK got a hold of a genie in a lamp he'd just ask for world peace or set the poor thing free without wishing for anything else.
Sigh. Oh well. Onto the problems with my Cinderella Sorato...
