FAQs
Q: What film does it use? where can we buy the film? how many pictures can we take using 1 roll?
A: Holga uses 120mm film which able to take 12/16 photos (depending what mask you are using)
The 120mm films can be bought from Ruby Photos, Cathay Photos, TripleD @ Burlington Square.
The camera can use 35mm films, which can take a total of 24 - 36 photos, if you are using the 35mm adapter, which can be bought from Perlyinc.com (a local seller) at only $20.
Q: Do you have any Pink or Yellow color holgas?
A: Sorry i do not have the pink or yellow ones and they are very expensive for retail price. it's almost SGD$90+ for one, and it only has GCFN model. It's not worth it. :)
Q: Can I customise my holga?
A: If you want to customise your holga, i have a template to create a holga sticker for the whole body ;) Just email me to send you. Priting for a sticker at A4 size should be only $2 at printing shops.
It can be easily remove and change.
Q: What is a hot shoe adpater and does GCFN has colored flash?
A: A hotshoe is a mounting point to fix an external flash to the camera. Only 120N and 120GN has it.
And Yes, GCFN has coloured flash.
The 'C' in the model means Colored Flash.
F stands for Flash (without any color)
G stands for glass lens.
Q: What kind of film does the holga uses? Can it use the normal 35mm films which is available in supermarkets and photo labs?
A: The holga uses a 120mm medium format film. Yes, it can use a normal 35mm film with an adapter, which cost only $20 in retail.
Q: if i am getting 120N, i must get an external flash myself? where can i get it and how much will it be?
A: An external flash is optional unless you wish to use your camera indoors or dark areas, else you will only use your holga in sunlight.
And it's all by individual preference if they wish to spare $100+ for a holga with an external flash, but of cuz the flash can be used in other lomography cameras like Fisheye 2, or any cameras that has a standard hotshoe adapter, which is quite versatile and also more powerful. :)
