Thank you very much! I would very much like to join that comm, but I'm not entirely sure if my fic counts as good!fic o^__^o

*sighs* After what happened to my idol, Silvestris, things haven't been the same. What happened to power-struggles, in-depth characterization, and imaginative situations? All I see is uke!Vexen and rapist!Marluxia.
But I can still have hope, right? Things aren't lost as long as there are fans who care...(?)

So long as there are people who remember how they should actually behave, things aren't completely lost! =D It's just when the stereotypes take over that all is lost.

Ugh, I think the uke and the rapist stereotype has completely dominated most pairings. -_- So annoying.

I'm curious though; what happened to Silvestris?

I'd like to know too. I loved her art, it was so beautful. I hope it hadn't anything to do with the pairing or something equally ridiculous.

The sterotypes have all but done just that! I'd really like to rally some troops and get good 411 back into the system, but I'll just take it one fic at a time.

...It's a bit of a long story, but I'll try to relate it as best I can.

Basically, once upon a time Silvestris formed the frosted_flowers community and drew a lot of lovely 411 fan art. She was really the first to introduce the fandom to the concept of 411, even though she didn't (and admitts that she didn't) invent it. Despite not being the first to it, she was certainly the most popular and many fans (including myself) flocked to it.
Then a group of fanbrats fangirls decided that she was too popular for their tastes. I have searched Silvestris' journal for an actual catalyst for the start of the 411 war, but I've found none. They began harassing her on her journal, spreading incriminating comments, and going so far as to do This and This, among other things, to bully her. I've seen anti-Silvestris icons floating about. ...those links were supposed to go to some of the anti-Silvestris propaganda that was spread around, but for some reason it just goes to the homepages of the people. They're both 411 memes.

That's terrible. At least she still tries to finish up her fan-project. I would give my right arm or my left arm - (Being ambidexterous negates the implications of such a statement. Maybe "my leg?") - to see her draw Axel/Roxas or Xaldin/Xigbar. I love her 411 stuff though. Particularly the "Marluxia vs. Vexen" stuff she drew with silverruby. SO much fun. She's such a brilliant artist I can't help but wish she drew my pairings.

I was just looking for the Plot Bunny of Doom to read the latest chapter (I'm on a friend's computer, so I don't have it bookmarked) and was surprised to see you come up in my google search.

Like Fortuna, Silvy is my idol as far as art and writing goes, and has been since I discovered her work seven or so years ago. I feel horribly bad for her after what happened with the brats. :(

Silvestris is REALLY good.

I just wish more people understood good ART. Frankly I'm not a 411 fan At ALL! But dangit if I don't appreciate the lady's work. Who cares if it's a pairing I'm not dancing around over.
