I need an opinion on something. D:
Last night in an roleplay, an unusual situation came up.
For circumstances that are too long for me to be trying to explain in a LiveJournal post, both Cloud and Riku wound up in situations of immediate and serious danger, and needed help. As Sora, who is someone who can't magically split in half on a whim, I had to decide who I would choose to help.
I really had a hard time with this one. My first instinct was to help Riku, but my mind kept creeping back to the incident at Radiant Garden, where Sora chooses to help his friends there without a second thought. At this point in the story, he doesn't know whether Riku's even alive or not, or what kind of situation he's in. And even after learning that the Organization has Kairi (I'm pretty sure we can be defining that as "immediate danger"), he still decides to hop in his Gummi and go revisit everyfuckingbody else before chasing Kairi.
I eventually decided that Sora would choose to help Riku, for no reason other than my inner Sora told me to. What do y'all think? D:
Edit for clarification: Yes, Sora does know where the both of them are.
This is why we need more fics where the characters are written IC. My inner Sora isn't the most reliable little feller, he takes too long of lunch breaks and spends most of his time sleeping.
