Just a little note

A note to the non-believers in the fandom:

We will stop making characters gay when they stop being gay.

Thank you very much.

Now is the moment I really wish I had that icon that says "AXEL/ROXAS; I deny it. Shall we battle?" because SERIOUSLY.

SO WHERE DOES IT SAY IN CANON THAT THEY ARE GAY? :O

I seriously can't be the only person who doesn't see any of the gay.

At all.

Pop on over to kh_het. It's small but growing :)

I dunno... KH fandom is kind of ... crazy?

I personally don't see any proof of gay.

I also don't see a ton of proof of non-gay. The ambiguity of it all is what makes me love the fandom.

Agreed, I love the fact that there really aren't any canon couples.
Much fun to play and mess with!

I don't really think you can outright claim one way or another the sexual preferences of the characters in this game, as none of them so much as kiss. In fact the games creators admit to making it ambiguous on purpose. I prefer reading Kairi/Sora for example, and I am sure I could cite just as much evidence for that pairing as Riku/Sora ( ... )

Ah, please don't take this like I am totally against het pairings. I love Sora/Kairi just as much as Sora/Riku/ I made this post in a rage because, well, as you mentioned, one of those random people came along and was like "Rar! No gay! EVER!"

I realize now... that perhaps wording it the way I did made me seem like I am some straight-hating psycho. Heh, oh well... those kind of post usually produce more interesting comments anyways.

Okay, I understand your point of view now, and I can imagine that its pretty frustrating to have people tell you your point of view is wrong (especially since both views are equally valid).

It's just that if people don't know that you are open to both and that you are simply suffering from legitimate frustration, it can be easy to have a misunderstanding.

In fact the games creators admit to making it ambiguous on purpose.

Can anyone point me to where they do so? I'm interested in seeing what the creators had to say about it.

I'm a slasher, but I think the character's canon sexuality is ambiguous. All of them could go either way, and there's support for practically every pairing in subtext. I don't think you can claim that the game is completely het or that it's completely slash. Everyone interprets it differently :).
