It's not that surprising, though. Months after Days I'm still correcting people on Xion's origins and purpose as well. My only advice is to lower your expectations of the intelligence of the fandom as a whole.
Eh, I'm not so forgiving when you've played the game. Then, I'm going to let the world know about how you missed the obvious shit and how blatantly stupid you are.
Idiotic isn't it? To be fair, had this been closer to the time that Days came out, I would have just shrugged it off that she only played the Japanese version. That her Japanese was pretty poor, and she guessed. (You know, like how everyone was thinking Repliku was Riku's Nobody? Only to find out... I'd spoil someone if I continued, but you know....)
But it's been a long while since the game came out...
I keep wanting to punch her in the face, really. >> It's starting to bug the hell out of me.
I really wish the OP would have at least talked to me about the whole thing with Xion and Roxas being separate characters. I mean, it's just natural to assume they're still a part of him since this takes place after KH2. When I'm apping for Sora, I freakin' expect to get the whole deal, including his Nobody and Replica, who are canonically stated to have absorbed into him. Kind of a big goddamn deal involving my character, you know!
This has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but I just switched to that exact same icon for an MSN rp I'm in, like literally five minutes ago, so seeing it show up in my email freaked me out. Icon hivemind!
See, for me it's the other way around - unless it implicitely (I know it's spelled wrong, stfu firefox) stated that they're a package, I tend to think of them as separate characters (and open to multiple apps) just because it doesn't seem fair to me otherwise. I mean, a persona apps Sora and expects to get two+ bonus characters? I don't think that's right, myself.
I usually have some good ones. This is just one of those things where EVERYTHING THEY DO IS WRONG.
I'm plotting the death of my villain, and then leaving while pointing out all their mistakes and how Sueish their characters are. There's even Goddesses so they can do shit without consequence.
To be completely nitpicky and I apologize if this was brought up, it's not uncalled for to call Xion a Nobody, and for that same logic, Repliku. Vexen himself was the one who gave such statements legitimacy in his Secret Reports, when he wondered if his Replicas weren't in fact special Nobodies due to the similarities between the "Replicas" and the "proper" Nobodies. Both were ultimately shells with imprints from someone else, never once their own persons (though both Repliku and Xion grew out of it, which might link back to them being "special" in that aspect amongst other "specialties", such as having crafted Bodies and Souls as opposed to the Discarded ones the proper Nobodies have).
The 'old' in there still irks me somewhat but I've no idea under what circumstances it was written, so.
The circumstances were that Xion was revived because someone apparently remembered her and a Sue wanted to give Namine back her friends (hence Xion and Roxas were revived, allowing for Vanitas to possess Sora). So, another Sue, the one in the OP, is with a group of people searching for Sora. She runs into Xion in Agrabah, and thinks, "Oh, that's Xion, Sora's old Nobody."
Most everyone knows that Vanitas is pure evil. xD They don't know direct connection to Sora, but he's evil and it was pretty much explained in a way to avoid spoilers--that is, Vani needed a host, and Sora was vulnerable with how fucked up her was after Xion and Roxas were suddenly split off from him.
I don't mind confusing her as a Nobody. However, referring to her as Sora's OLD Nobody? That just... WUT?

Fuck, she's spoiled as bad as I am for BBS!
I think she's inserting her own wishes into the RP. :/
Or it's an attempt to make her character seem, you know, less kickass and super awesome and shit. :/
But it's hard to tell, especially when Xion's origins were, you know, explained to the group of good guys.
(This is why I'm one of the baddies. Niv gets to kick ass and whip the darkling kids into shape.)

Lower...
no... Lower still...

It's too much fun to crush them with reality.
(Again: REASON I'M PLAYING ONE OF THE BIG BADS.)

Pretty much it.

In that case, ya. I can understand the Nobody comment, not the 'old' one.
