Okay. So, I'm needing to rant over a few things, mostly dealing with characterization and, well, people bitching about revealed canon personalities and such.

Man, sometimes I feel like the only person in fandom whose characterization of Demyx *wasn't* Jossed to hell and back by Days (I put less emphasis on the laziness, but the fundamental 'fuck this, I do sitar and occasional diplomacy' was always there). But apparently not. Hi, guys!

Vexen is the *classic* High-Int Low-Wis combination, which the classic tendency to get the rest of the party in trouble. It doesn't help that a)he doesn't have a Diplomacy modifier worth mentioning, and b)his original party was made up entirely of other High-Int Low-Wis characters. (How they all ended up making that Will save vs. nothingness is a question; I presume a combination of classes with good Will saves and some fortuitously high rolls.)

I may be the only one who likes Saïx better, or at least finds him more interesting, with his post-Days characterization. Now that you realize that have the time we thought he was being serious it was the most deadpan of sarcasm...Fascinating. Also, fun interactions with Axel, about whom I feel no less conflicted than before. He was always a chronic backstabber who only slowly developed the ability to care about Roxas, eventually at the cost of his own life. Now it's just harder for fandumb to handwave that away. (Also, his actions finally make SENSE, or at least can be made to follow a schema of loyalties without too much guesswork.)

I love my articulate Xaldin, I do. Though really, like Larxene being Queen Bitch from Hell (and I love her for it), all Days did was make it harder to ignore what canon had always been saying.
