Foreword: I’m not trying to start anything here, and people with differing opinions: More power to you! However, this is mine. And I am really sick of fanbrats not giving enough cred to female characters.
I’m calling attention to the part complaining about XIV and how inevitably, without debate, OP-has-the-ability-to-see-into-the-future-inherited-from-generations-of-fanbrats-before-her, she will be a Mary Sue.
Now, I haven’t conducted extensive research on the subject, but as far as I can tell, here’s what’s been established about mysterious number fourteen:
Oh, right, I forgot. She’s a chick. She must be getting in the way of your buttsecks OTP, therefore she must be a Mary Sue and the spawn of Square Enix and the rainbow-haired devil (or that chick from My Immortal).

And was Larxene a Mary Sue? No, she was a kick-ass, take-no-shit powerbitch with a vendetta and a wicked if frightening penchant for Marquis de Sade. Did she get in the way of your OMG OTP? Oh, right, I forgot. She flirtatiously touched Axel that one time. Which means she must be a self-insert of someone on the design team who has a little thing for Quenton Flynn and pyromaniac redheads. Because apparently that’d the skewed logic we’re working with here in KH fandom.
The worst part? I seem to be the only person who sees the flaw in this. No. Uh, no. Are you aware that if they were adding a new male member, you’d be creaming yourselves over all the possibilities? You’d already be shipping him with half the Organization (but of course not Larxene, oh no never Larxene)! Jesus ball-busting christ. I’m so sick of this double standard applied to females by females.
So, yeah, if it does turn out XIV is Yarmuxes then okay, fine. Post about her here. I don’t care. I’ll rant with you. Until you actually know this for a fact, don’t go ragging on characters whose only established canon is their FUCKING GENDER.
New girl splitting up your Luxord/Demyx OTP? Big deal. It wasn't canon then, it isn't canon now, SHIP IT ANYWAY.
Edit: So OP replied to my none-too-gentle comment on fandomsecrets stating reasons for her assumption, which include the following official quotes on XIV: Supposedly XIV is "a female who has influenced Roxas in his future actions, however she is too much of an important character in the story to talk about." In 358/2, we will learn "who she was and why she was forgotten."
Call me crazy, but I fail to see how her influencing someone (IE: doing anything in the plot), being integral to the story, or having any sort of history makes her a threat to canon sanity. It sounds to me like it makes her a round character. It's true she wind up being a Mary Sue, but reasons like that just aren't enough to go and chew her out for such a heinous crime before she even has a name.
And all the you’s mentioned above were general yous. To those who don’t go making baseless assumptions based on whether or not a character has tits, I salute you.
