I'm having a few issues comprehending the great depth and artistic eloquence of
this particular work, especially with that disclaimer in the bottom, reproduced here: "I would also like to mention we do not approve of some of the language used in this series, but just because we don't approve of it doesn't mean we don't use characters that would use it."
I'd like the community to help me out here. Because, surely, this person has a deep and well-thought-out reason for throwing about homophobic slurs casually. If the community could point me to where Larxene established herself as a homophobic character, that'd be really helpful! I mean, surely, this isn't another case of someone waving their privilege in everyone's face, but a nuanced and considered artistic expression. Come on, guys, where's that special, secret scene? Give me a hand. I mean, surely she's not stupid enough to fling homophobic slurs about on a site dedicated to art of gay men without a damn good reason. There also must be a good explanation for this sudden, solitary existence of IC in an OOC comic. That is her rationale, if I'm correct--there's no point in getting annoyed by her comics if they're all intentionally OOC. But yet, this moment, this solitary moment, is permitted to be IC, indeed, excused because she says it is IC. What could be the significance of this bold, edgy artistic statement? I am truly at a loss.
