Really, I am SO TIRED of hearing this. I work at Walt Disney World, ok, and trust me when I say I look ALL the time for KH stuff. You wanna see all the KH stuff I've found?
A little display in the back of a Walt Disney exhibit that plays the trailer from when you leave the game on too long and has the poster, the games, the guidebook and a little figurine of King Mickey and Sora. This is about the most stuff you'll see in one single area.

And, there's the second game and COM being sold at any given store...THAT'S ALL FOLKS. Notice how there's not CHARACTERS in those pictures? Yeah, that's because they're NOT OUT. There is, however, a Sora, and a KH!Donald and KH!Goofy in existance that has been out before. You want pictures? Here; have some damn pictures:

Sora, the ONLY KH character Disney has attempted to make, was out in October 2004 during the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween parties (which was probably part of a promotion for Chain of Memories coming out in a few months), and now everyone thinks they've seen him a million times since then when they went "lol 3 months ago!!! yup i saw him ^___^". HE HAS NEVER BEEN OUT PAST THAT STFU. He's a SPECIAL EVENTS character and you're lucky you even got that. Disney likes to make characters you only get to meet once and never again. They're good for that.
Stop telling people these elaborate, whistfully thinking stories of how you saw an official Riku near Ariel's grotto and got a picture but your camera messed up so now we're just gonna have to trust you, or how Sora is at the Japanese pavilion at EPCOT just chillin' near the pocky and Hello Kitty items. "i ttly saw him there but mah mom wouldnt let me get a picture!!! :o" You totally didn't see him. You're totally full of shit is what it is. Maybe you saw COSPLAYERS, yes, because people do that all the time (had a Sora, Riku, Axel, Roxas cosplay group here maybe a week or so ago), but the official Sora that Disney has that you've damn well seen pictures of and STILL keep saying you saw them out the last time you were here? No. No, you didn't.

Okay, I'm basing this on the account of my Assistant Manager at work, so the legitimacy might be in question, but here goes.
He went to Disney World last week on vacation, and right near the Haunted Mansion, there's a large banner with two crossed keyblades. It doesn't specifically say the words "Kingdom Hearts" anywhere on it. Also, sometimes at night, the Org. XIII (all in cloaks with hoods up) will walk by...in a nice touch, the last in line is shorter than the others.
...I don't know what kind of acid trip this guy was on when he was there, but he's a couple of fries short of a McDonalds Happy Meal. Let's think about this for a minute:
Point 1--Why the HELL would Organization XIII be near the Haunted Mansion? Is that the scariest place you can think of to make your lie sound convincing? "Oh, there's a graveyard there and there's a room of existance in the game that's kinda like a graveyard so yeah I ttly saw it...ttly". Right. You're a twat. Disney themes EVERYTHING they do from the music you hear walking around the parks to the ground you walk on. While every once in a blue moon they break this theming and you might find some batshit character in a random stop (Kenai from Brother Bear was once near my workplace, which is themed to be a on a "tropical island". Bears/tropical islands--OTP), why they'd be near a mansion in Liberty Square is beyond me. ESPECIALLY being their first time out since, um, they've never been out as far as official Disney park character history goes. They at least bring a character out enough in one spot so you know where to go to find them first before moving them around, jeez.
Point 2--Do you really think Disney would dress up 13 individuals (lol the last one being the shortest!111 WONDER WHO THEY ARE TRYING TO GET ACROSS THAT IS :O :O) just so they can walk by and then...go inside? Really? Are you that dense? There's gotta be a meet and greet somewhere in there, or at least a show. SOMETHING. That's a lot of money to spend on 13 outfits plus hair, just for a walk-by of "?!?!?! WAS DAT DA ORG?!!? O_O" to freak out guests. Disney does like to fuck with your head, yes, but that's a bit extreme. Plus, how many people on this resort or just walking by seeing this with general KH knowledge is going "13 cloaked individuals = Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts II"? They're probably going "!!!! HOLY SHIT IT'S GRIM REAPER GOTH KIDS! GET IN THE TEA CUPS!"
Point 3--Be completely honest with yourself: do you really think Organization XIII is THAT popular outside of this game/fandom to have ALL 13 be out for whatever it may be, be that a meet and greet, or a random musical show they'll put on saying how awesome they are? Hell, it's a rare occassion to get all 7 DWARVES out for a meet and greet, and they've been around forever. You're talking about getting 13 people out for a game a VERY small fraction of Disney fans know about, let alone for characters that half of them are in a game only released on Gameboy Advanced in America. Riiiiiiiiiiight. The day I see Lexeaus signing autographs in Disney memory books with a fuzzy Cinderella pin for some little girl wearing a Mickey Mouse ear hat and a Snow White costume near the Haunted Mansion, is the day I sing "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls on top of my roof naked while standing in a bucket of ritz crackers and shampoo.
Plus, I've been to the Haunted Mansion at night and I saw no Org. PIX OR GTFO.
But yeah, as you can clearly see, YOU MAKE NO SENSE SIR. I can see them bringing out a Axel and a Roxas before they bring out a Riku or a Kairi, sad to say. And even then, they'd probably have to be near a Sora with Donald and Goofy JUST so people can know what the hell they're from cause they're too obscure to be by themselves. You can't even bring Smee from Peter Pan out around here without people going "....? Where's he from?" Put him with Captain Hook and it's all "OH HE'S THAT PIRATE THAT'S WITH HOOK LOL I TTLY KNOW HIM NOW". Sure, sure you do. Kingdom Hearts, in retrospect of All Things Disney, is reeeeeeally small. It's a huge hit and a popular game...for those who know what it is. It really is like a cult. ONLY THE COOL KIDS KNOW ABOUT IT.
So, a word to the wise for people who come here looking for where their friend's cousin's sister's best friend's aunt's daughter said they met Sora, Riku and Ansem about two months ago under Cinderella castle and didn't get any pictures because they forgot? Stop looking. They're delusional. You missed your chance to meet Sora three years ago cause that was the only time he was out. Maybe one day they'll bring out a updated version of him since KHII DID come out, but for right now? HE'S NOT HERE <3
