So I just got a link to a really bad Hidan x Inuyasha fic from the beautiful (I'm a real Casenova, yo.) Acerbitas.
You may say, "Now, Ash-chan, that's all well and good. But what in all the hells on any of the worlds does this have to do with Kingdom Hearts?" I'm getting to that.
You know what, userthings? I'm sick and tired of bad crossovers. I know, I know, this has been talked about to death, but god, what is it about crossovers?! I've never ever read a good crossover! Well, I tell a lie, alba_aulbeth 's Silent Hill x-over was fucking great. But that's not the point.
Why does every crossover I happen upon (Alba_aulbeth's doesn't count in this rant) seem to suck so badly? They always have bad-writing, it seems, and OOC. Now, for some of these, a bit of canon tweaking is gonna have to be done. It can be AU, I don't care, I love AUs. I don't really write anything but a giant AU, but that's not important. In fact, for most of these, canon-tweaking is a must.
Hidan and Inuyasha, or, hell, Hidan x Sora (because I love Hidan and Sora so much and Sora needs some good slash)? Go ahead. But for the love of god, please don't rape their characterizations? That could be a great pairing--a pairing revolution, I say!!--but it'll never do that if you can't write them in character!
