Wahh.
Have you ever had this experience? You find a fic with a good hook (in this case, a one-shot AU where Roxas was a high school student who suffered from bad claustrophobia), the promise of slash, and it's well-written! Huzzah.
And then you read a little more, and you see another character, someone who's usually a lot of kindness and light (three guesses who, and the first two don't count). Only this time, she's, yep, the bitch with nothing but venom toward the blameless uke. And at that point, the fic loses all of its charm and you find yourself blanching and reaching for the back button as fast as you can.
Has the misrepresentation of a single character for the sake of needing an antagonist ever ruined an entire fic for you? It doesn't even have to be Kairi, just anyone who's been maligned (or changed into a fluffy, giggling, BFF-type, for that matter).
