I weep for my poor Demyx
First post! Don't kill me
I know this has been ranted many times before but:
I was on Fanfiction.net last night to see what was new with Kingdom Hearts fiction community and I saw this. Now, I atually been aware of that fic for a while but this time I decided to check it out(to view it's awfulness, of course), and it was another fic that portrayed Demyx as a bumbling idiot, Xemnas and Saix also as bumbling idiots, Marluxia as flamming gay, and Axel as a pyro. I know this is typical, but dear god help me.
I used to be the typical fanbrat who believed that Axel was TEH QOOULEST! Marluxia was gayer than a thousand tingles, Demyx was a dumbass, and Saix was OMG! RAPIST!!! But I saw the light because I didn't like how Disney characters were treated in our fandom (Disney is what got me into Kingdom Hearts into the first place)and I was a whole new person again. Yippe! Hooray! Anyway back on topic. I read the first chapter and the author was describing what various organization members were wearing other than their usual attire because they wanted to hide their indenity. Or something like that. When I read that Marluxia was wearing "a tight pink mini that showed a bit of his legs and long, glossy blue boots" , that's when I couldn't take it anymore and I decided to post here rather be a lurker that I was being for about a month.
We only see Demyx for two cutscenes, and each of them are less than a minute long.
In his cutscenes, we see that he's more casual than the other organization members, not sure what's he supposed to do, easily intimidated, and always thinks their sending "the wrong guy" for the mission. How does that equal into a young man with
a mentality of a five year old, playing pranks on other members, and screaming the most randomest stuff on the top of his lungs? Did I miss something here? Let us remind ourselves that Demyx is apart of ORGANIZATION XIII! A badass groups of people who just by mentioning them, would make someone shit his or her pants. I highly doubt that Xemnas would let someone that dim join the organization. The organization is supposed to be feared by many and I like I mention before, Demyx is apart of it. As how I see it, Xemnas probably let him join because of his fighting skills (I'm pretty sure that almost everyone here has gotten their ass kicked by Demyx. I, myself included.) but when it comes to missions, Demyx gets nervous, starts to freak out, and forget what he was supposed to do in the first place. He then fears* what the superior might do him and gets all frightened. Who woudn't!?! Being in the Organization is probably similar to being in a 4.O student who does gymnastics, soccer, community service, cheerleading, and hardly has anytime to themselves. In other words; Only the strong can handle it. Demyx is obviously mentally strong(At least I believe so)but he cracks under pressure like anyone would. This doesn't make him stupid or weak. Hell, if I had his job, I'd probably spaz out more than he does. What I'm trying to say is, being in the organization is like being a top model. It's very stressful.
Oh, I read another fanfic about Demyx. It wasn't as bad as the other one, but I doubt he would confuse a tampon with a cigarette and smoke it. I'm not saying he's as smart as Einstein but C'mon. Get serious.
*So it's canon that they cannot feel but this is debatable. I believe that they don't have hearts but they can feel very little emotion. Demyx was probably feeling some emotion when he was doing his missions.
