Not really a rant, but as long as we're sharing opinions, it's alright, isn't it?

I'm starting to regret joining a certain yaoi community.

I can give my own four unpopular opinions? Awesome!

1. Leon and Cloud have very little in common. Very, very little. I am getting quite sick of Leon X Cloud right about now. I mean, can't you at least make more Sephiroth X Cloud? Doesn't that seem slightly more appropriate than two people who have never met and are from two different games (despite the same series and company, Final Fantasy VII and VIII are different storylines).

2. Sora isn't as gay and uke-ish as people continue to personify him (he fucking wields a giant key and many asses have been kicked by that key). I'll admit, he pouts alot in both games, but he doesn't pout while crying and then jumping up shouting Fangirl Japanese ("Daijoubi!" I still have no idea what that means.) He pwnz all, and I'd like to see a Sora-seme one day.

3. Kairi isn't a bitch. She's a totally awesome Keyblade wielder that was horribly annoying in the first game (but she got better), yet being annoying does not equal bitch.

4. Goddammit, LARXENE isn't NICE! She fucking SADISTIC and SARDONIC, and I'd prefer if her character stayed the same as canon. She doesn't help Marluxia in his garden in Castle Oblivion (which doesn't exist, btw) giggling about their lastest shopping and guy conquests. This hasn't been done yet, but it CAN happen.

Wow, that felt really good.

... Actually, for the garden thing, if I remember correctly, it does exist! In the Chain of Memories manga!

Also, in the CoM manga, Marluxia orders NFC take-out (Nobody Fried Chicken or Nomura Fried Chicken, I cannot remember) to celebrate and hits pop machines to get sodas.

I love the manga.

Nope! The manga is totally canon.

Meaning that I can mention Larxene and thumbscrews and be totally in the canon zone. Oh goodie.

I think the manga is more like a supplement to canon, such that if you want to accept it as canon, you can, but you don't have to.

Well, it's still accepted by the creators, so. Still means that people can write about Larxene reading Marquis de Sade and be right~ The nitpick was more that the Garden in Castle Oblivion is -- canon, at least somewhat, so. Yes.

I'm with you on all of those, Sora needs more topping love, but I have to throw my TOTAL word in with Leon/Cloud. I think they would be the most boring pairing ever. Both of them are total introverts who don't talk about themselves at all. They do not strike me as cute, pretty, or perfect for each other. Or even like they would get along very well. I see it as kind of "one says something the other finds ridiculous or unbelievable, and they stare at one another, and Aerith who is sitting between them sighs with exasperation."

I will literally go for almost ANY other Hollow Bastion pairing. Cloud/Aerith, Cloud/Tifa? Okay. Cloud/Sephiroth? Probably. Cloud/Yuffie? Yes! Cloud/CID? Try me. Leon/Aerith, SIGN ME UP. Leon/Yuffie or Tifa? Okay!

They all make so much more sense in my head.
