To Demyx players and writers everywhere
You know what ticks me off about this fandom?
The inability of so many people to comprehend character depth. It's like some mental block that people have. CoM!Axel and KH2!Axel are distinct entities because one is a rat bastard and the other is a woobie... rat bastard. Fluffy!Demyx and Kickass!Demyx are distinct personalities because-- wait, what?
See, yes. I am one of those shameless Demyx fans. There's hordes of us. I know. And this drives me up the wall.
Demyx can't possibly be cute, puppy-like, non confrontational and still badass. It's not possible! Nope! Demyx clearly has multiple personalities, lala. Character complexity? Pffft! That's too much for me, la~
No, no, no. Nice people? Nice, gentle, friendly people? Can be pissed off. And a lot of these fluffy people can be really scary when you piss them off. One of my close friends is the mother hen archetype, but if you hurt one of her "kids," she'll break your face open.
It makes sense that Demyx got angry. Of the entire Organization, he's the one clinging desperately to the idea that he still has a heart. For Sora and company to come along, wave weapons in his face and say some decidedly not-nice things ("I bet you can't even fight." "Yeah, but we can!" "How'd a wimp like you get into Organization XIII?" and top it off by saying that he doesn't have a heart...), very few people would react by going "hey, you're right! I am a wimp. D:"
Yeah, he was clearly unhappy about being there (nervous, but probably a lot of "why me?" in there, too), but he was also pretty offended. Just because he's not a fighter doesn't mean that he doesn't know that he can kick ass.
And just because he's a nice guy doesn't mean that he needs another personality to have a spine amid the fluff. The two can coexist within one person. GAWD.
