I don't know. I've seen/heard Aerith bashing and I'm not even in the FF fandom, which goes to say it's spread here to KH, too D:

But if you're a female character in this fandom, that means you're a bitch or a wuss. That's how it rolls....which is funny because isn't most of fandom composed of mostly girls? o_O Although, the game itself has mostly guys, so....

I think it's because Aerith was supposed to sound all wispy and mystical in AC. In KHII, without the "zomg! dream sequence!!" thing to back her up, she just sounded high.
