1 rant + 1 question.
The rant:
Where the hell is DiZ?
It seems like the only people who even use him are the ones who have noooo freaking clue what he's like. You know, the ones who think he's evil just because he's voiced by Christopher Lee. Or the ones who think he gave a damn about what happened to Roxas or Namine back at the start of the game.
I'll grant that it can be a bit of a challenge to include him, but it really isn't something that ought to be left out, especially if you're trying to write about Roxas in Twilight Town. DiZ is there, he is important, and he's not one to sit around and do nothing...
Which leads to the question.
Let's say that *cough* someone was writing a fanfic in which, due to various reasons, DiZ does not have *cough* that certain henchman in the black coat *cough* to help him out. Let us also say that in this fic, Roxas is living in the real Twilight Town and has been for some time. Let us also say that DiZ wishes to keep the Keyblade [and by association, Roxas] from falling into the hands of Organization XIII. How might he go about that? Try to convince Roxas to join him instead? Figure out that Roxas is a Nobody [how the hell would you know?] and try to kill him himself [and how would he do that?]?
