Can we get some originality here?
So we all know that a Keyblade is an unusual weapon, and so's a Gunblade - and damn near every OC has one or the other. I got to thinking about what other things would make a cool combination and/or unusual weapon for an OC.
Staplers would make fucking awesome weapons if you set them up like a crossbow. Make them larger if you want to just capture someone (and break their wrists in the process XD), or smaller if you want to do damage. Oooh, nail guns can be used in this context as well, though I don't think a nail would look quite as cool fletched like an arrow.
Weapons made from rulers would be a little dorky and look like serrated swords. But! You'd be able to tell how deep it went, I think that's a bonus. XD
Rakes you could spruce up a lot and give them sharp little points, or make them really nasty looking. D: And you can sort of hammer people with them, affective, I think.
Candle snuffers hurt like hell to be hit with (I'd know, I've smacked myself a few times on accident with mine) - a giant one even more so, and if your opponent is an annoyingly small little bastard you could just plop the snuffer part on top of him and suffocate him to death. Though if you're fighting Heartless and Nobodies you could still trap them and throw a grenade under it.
A giant tube of glue wouldn't really be a weapon unless you're more of the defensive sort. Stick your enemy to the ground and watch your peers beat the snot out of it, whoo!
One word: Plunger. I'd run away really fast from anyone fighting with a plunger, because - well, it's a plunger. Ew.
Don't want your OC to fight with a whip, but like the whip idea? Try a telephone with the cord still attached - either end is going to hurt like hell when you lash someone with it.
Same idea like the telephone and cord, but those dangly incense burners with the metal lids and everything. I have no idea what they're called (cisturns?). I think I've seen a few fighting game characters use them - but it's not common. And ow, ambers getting your face?
Any kitchen utensil that is not a spatula. Eggbeaters are something I don't see often, you could use a giant electric one that'd rip and shred your opponent, or a double ended one where you could trap their limbs/weapons in it and mop the floor with them.
And another one! A mop would make a cool weapon, and it'd be funny.
Giant robotic teddy bears. With lazers. (Not very original, but still! The Heartless wouldn't be able to steal their hearts becuase they're Giant Robotic Teddy Bears with Lazers!)
How many of you have seen Carrie 2? That one part where she uses the CDs to slit peoples throats. :D There's a good, effective weapon right there. Except CDs aren't that sharp unless you made them that way, they'd cause more blunt force trauma than a clean cut (unless you broke the CD into shards, ow).
Battery powered drills. Trepanning anyone? They'd be useless in long range combat, but up close? A winnar is you!
Half of these are from me just wandering around my house going "Uhh... shit, what would work?" I think I found quite a few items that would make amusing and far more interesting weapons for an OC than a Key/Gunblade.
A spork is fine too.
