Haven't posted in a long time. I've been extremely stressed/boderline panic attack the last few weeks with work, so I slept through my seminar this morning (a completely premeditated decision), went to a late lunch, went to my Arts of Western Africa class, and then read in a tiny niche of a tree on Voorhees until I started dozing off. I enjoy all my classes, but all the papers, exams, and presentations seem to converge at once in a cycle throughout the semester. That accompanied with one particularly irritating megalomaniac professor is making things less than pleasant. Not to say that I haven't been having fun, but a plethora of work tends to make me more indulgent in my social life, as I was thinking just a few minutes ago about how the Greeks may have been right with their belief that being drunk was the most fun you could have in the living world. Ironically, I haven't been drinking much, and may have just been projecting my hopes for this weekend.
I've started working at the cafe in my building. I recommend honey ginger milkshakes to everyone, so splooge-worthy. Essentially, they're made of 6 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 2 oz. of Oregoan chai from a box.
Finally got my ass over to McSorley's last weekend with Grace and Casey. Oh, how I forget how lovely it is to relish in the bloated feeling of beer. We met a guy named Mohammed Ali. No joke. He was from New Jersey, and quite embarassed about his name, so he went by a name of a Stooge, "Mo." Absurd.
Purchased a Hitachi Magic Wand. Dear God. Afraid to put it on the high setting. Grace suggested that I wear ski pants while using it. Incredible, though.
