You know me, I like to know definitions. Concrete facts. Explanations. I've always been that way, ever since I was young.

As a child, my definition of family went right along with Webster: Parents and their children, considered as a group. My idyllic country club childhood gave me no reason to question that. Family knows all about you. Favorite cereal. Favorite books. Favorite teddy bear.

As a teenager, Daphne became my family. I could talk about anything with Daph, and to my raging hormones and my doubts and beliefs, that seemed more important than someone connected to me by DNA.

Once I met Brian, my life changed. I got fucked. Learned what it was to give and receive, and not just presents. I learned about real family.

Family accepts you for what you are.

Loves you unconditionally.

Doesn't just take you in because they have to, but because they want to, no matter what.

Doesn't throw you out because you like sucking dick. Or because you dream about fucking in the back room of a club filled with pounding music and beautiful men.

My family grew. Daphne was still a big part. But now it included Brian and the gang.

Many years later, I know who my family is, my core family. The person who knows the little things about me.

What I like for breakfast.

How the towels should be folded in the linen closet.

Which side of the bed I sleep on.

How hard I like to get fucked in the morning.

What size clothes I wear so he can buy them for me because he's so fucking insistent that I wear labels too.

Exactly what to say to me to convey all his emotions, to make me hard, to possess me, to claim me as his family.

omg i wrote fic. the one who knows me
