The Alliance never knew that in their attempt to create a utopia on Miranda, they incurred the wrath of a being far more powerful, far more dangerous than the Reavers that they had accidentally created. The last of his kind, smarter than anybody they could recruit, the Alliance had no knowledge of the being they had angered through their actions.
He stood looking at the wreckage, a cold, determined fury gathering around him. Bloody apes, not knowing when to stop. For all that he admired humans, admired their tenacity and their courage and their willingness to push the odds, sometimes they took it so far. He had seen what happened to a society when they tried to control all that was around them, but this took him by complete surprise. This was too much.
The Doctor looked around, adding this atrocity to the long list of horrific things he had seen before walking back inside his TARDIS. He knew of the vague whispers about him, of the things people half-remembered about the Lonely God. It was time that they realized that there was truth behind those legends.
