Um... lets see... where did we leave off in this book?
*heaves a book onto table and blows off layer of dust*
*cough*
Ahem.
Well, back during the summer I was in the middle of job hunting, finding a new place to live, finding a new home for a kitten, and trying to keep things in my life in order.
So obviously I have a new job working for a hospital system, I moved to Richmond (more precisely the southern suburbs of Richmond out in Chester, VA), the kitten was taken into a new home, and so far things with my life have kept me busy but not overly chaotic *crosses fingers*
Working as a athletic trainer for the Bon Secour Orthopeadic Institute has been good, working with a buddy from a previous job. It is nice as they have me in charge of all the high schools in one of the near by counties, however as impressive as that may sound there is only one high school in the county as the land is mostly if not all farmland. Still it's a nice change of pace going in covering practices and home games only. I actually can clock out and go off duty instead being on-call after I leave for the day. Got me working on some pet projects that have been mulling about in my mind so its nice to see them come to fruition.
Living here in Richmond area is great I now have the comforts of civilization again and I live in a great neighborhood with friendly people. Diverse people as well instead of being the only asian in a 20 mile radius excluding the chinese take-out restaurants. That is a nice change of pace there. Also, nice in that I am closer to many of my friends that live in the Richmond area so it is good that I can hang out with someone almost every weekend instead once a month. Still, on the fence about buying my first home in the next year especially since it is a buyer's market for now. Probably should get something before the economy recovers then can make a really good profit when comes time to move and sell.
Lindsay and I are doing well as well can be. We are happy with one another and since she has been taking classes in mandarin and learning more about chinese culture it's sparked me to practice my cantonese and brush-up on my own culture so that we can learn and grow together with it. In that regard of her she is a god-send, I am very proud of my heritage and finding someone who wants to be apart of that means a lot to me.
As for the kitten she has found a new home, a part of me wishes that she could have been kept but I do not think it would have been possible just the way life was going. Ayame, will be missed but not forgotten.
Wish I could see all my friends up in Pennsylvania, you are all very much missed and that was never more apparent of me missing PA when I went up in October for the wedding, I am just glad to have at least seen Jarrod. If you reading this man, you are the awesomeness, you man-whore you LOL. Hopefully this upcoming summer I will be able to make all those trips I wanted to take this past summer, but couldn't due to the job issue. Life is busy but I will try to make time and call you all when I can or feel free to give me a buzz!
*puts proverbial pen down*
*closes book*
*allows new dust to settle on book over time*
