Manah-manah!

Been feeling a bit blergh mentally and physically lately for various reasons (I think mostly because I picked up a bug from somewhere and am only now just starting to feel better) but today seems to have turned the corner for me.

I still feel ill but I no longer feel like I went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, I actually ate something other than yoghurt for the first time in  about 4 days, I got my lovely Ellen back from the laptop hospital (it's so nice to have a laptop that actually works all the time instead of just when it feels like it), I finally got around to watching the first episode of Grimm and I went to see the new Muppet film.

I was the only adult there unaccompanied by a child but I honestly don't care.  For roughly an hour and a half, I was 6 years old and hopelessly in love with Kermit the Frog again.  I  never stopped smiling all the way through and I'm still singing the theme song under my breath.

They could have screwed that film up so badly but, somehow, they got it just right.  There was laughter, suspense, a few tears, a lot more laughter, songs, guest stars and every good thing that I remembered about being a kid and watching The Muppet's while curled up on the sofa with my parents.

If you get a chance to see it then I would definitely do so.  Forget about the fact that it's a kids film and the fact that they're only puppets.  It's a film that leaves you with a happy, warm glow inside and in this day and age, I think that's something we could all do with ocassionally.
