A hot, humid summer day is the perfect time to go out to the beaches of California for a swim or even some surfing if you were up for it. There are tons of hot lifeguards that are there on duty to save your life if you ever needed help from drowning. Frank and his boyfriend Matt are on the beach right now, soaking up the sun while they lay out on their beach towels. Everyone seemed to pick this day as the best to come out and have some fun. The only thing that really irked the couple was that there were millions of kids out of school for the summer and crowded up the beach more than usual on a weekday. Frank sat up suddenly and placed his shades on top of his head before reaching for their large, plastic cooler to pull out a soda. He personally would have had a beer if it hadn’t been listed as prohibited on the beach’s rules that were posted on signs all across the sandy area. That was something both he and Matt hated about public beaches. Grabbing an ice cold can out, the smaller man popped open the top and took a big drink of it. He switched the can from one hand to the other before placing his cold palm on Matt’s bare, tattooed stomach.
Matt nearly jumped out of his skin at that, sitting up in a flash with a motion that was so strong his sunglasses came flying off. “Jesus Christ, Frankie!” He yelled, looking over at his boyfriend who had a raging smile on his face. If he hadn’t been dating the smaller man, he would have punched Frank right in the face. He was very into the idea of looking straight in front of the general public. His parents didn’t even know he was seeing a man. “Why did you do that?” Matt asked more calmly this time. Frank took another drink from his can and then set it down in the sand. “I just thought I’d get your attention.” He said plainly. The muscular man rolled his eyes and then gathered his sunglasses to put them back on.
Frank did silly things like this all the time so the other man’s reply didn’t shock him in the least. That was one of the things that Matt loved about his boyfriend. He was sweet, playful, and really knew how to get Matt going when they were back at their apartment all alone. “You know, if it wasn’t for you being so fucking adorable, I probably would have dumped you by now.” Frank looked at Matt again this time and frowned, pouting out his bottom lip. “Don’t you give me that look or you’ll get it when were back home.” Matt wasn’t joking. He went through with his threats when it came to Frank behaving like a child. By “it” he meant the silent treatment. That meant no talking, no cuddling, and definitely no sex. The smaller man erased the expression on his face before he pulled out a can of soda for his boyfriend, handing it to him without a word. Matt was the dom of the relationship and pretty much got whatever he wanted. Despite that, Matt was actually a kind and passionate boyfriend. There were times when he got Frank flowers just because he wanted to and then proceeded to sweet talk and persuade Frank to join him in the bedroom for some intense one on one action. Oh yeah, Matt was a charmer.
He opened the drink and took just a sip from it as he watched all the blonde bimbos bounce their breasts around while they ran down the beach like a star from Baywatch. Matt never saw why it was considered sexy to have mounds of fat on your chest. It disturbed him to varying degrees. What he did find appealing was the young, buff and tanned torsos of the bimbos’ boyfriends and husbands. That could get him off in seconds flat if he thought of just that. His eyes traced the outlines of the men in question through the dark lenses of his sunglasses. He loved Frank and never thought of being with anyone else. Being a man meant your eyes wandered from person to person just because of the testosterone that surged through your veins when you saw someone that appealed to you. Frank caught him looking from the open corner of the glasses and tried his best not to look like a femme bitch gay guy that he surely would be seen as if he opened his mouth. Instead, he let out a bitchy hiss and whispered to him. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Am I not good enough for you? You want to fuck one of those guys? Answer me damn it.” Frank had officially gone into full bitch mode and could explode at any second.
Matt knew what could happen if they weren’t settling this right now. Frank would start screaming and flailing his arms around like a crazed robot, outing them to everyone here at the beach and possibly the whole world. This had to stop now before things got really out of hand. “Just calm down and listen to me for a second alright?” He took Frank’s hand and held them in the sand away from snooping eyes. “Yes, they are hot but I would never disrespect you. Sometimes I like to look but that’s all. It’s like when you told me you have a crush on Johnny Depp because you think he’s sexy. It’s the same thing. You can look at him but can’t touch because you love me right?” He asked, running the pad of his thumb across the back of Frank’s tattooed hand. “And besides, they don’t have your boyish good looks and sexy tattoos.” Matt wiggled his eyebrows playfully to get a small smile from Frank back in return. Frank bit down on his lip and sucked on his piercing. He knew he was wrong to have just assumed Matt was eye-fucking someone. His boyfriend always told him the truth so he had nothing to worry about. He loved Matt probably more than anything and anyone else in his life since the day they got together.
“Okay. Sorry that I overreacted. But you understand why I got upset don’t you?” Matt looked at him with an eyebrow raised and put an arm around the smaller man’s shoulder, pulling him in just enough not to look suspicious. “It’s because you love me and don’t want me to leave you.” It was a statement instead of a question because he knew what the answer to Frank’s question was already. Frank nodded his head and rested into the crook of his boyfriend’s arm and shoulder. He felt warm, protected and loved just like he should feel. Matt pulled away slightly and looked down at the smaller man in which Frank looked up at him. “You mean everything to me but could I ask just one favor of you?” Frank smiled and nodded his head. Matt stuck his drink in the sand beside him and flipped over onto his stomach, his arms under his chin as he turned his face to his boyfriend. “Will you lotion my back before I get burnt?” He smiled and flashed his sweet dimples over to the other man. It was Frank’s turn to roll his eyes as he got the sunblock and squirted some onto his hand before rubbing down Matt’s back with it.
