School Scare @_@
A man brought a gun to school today.
Oh joy. D:
This caused the entire student body to perform an emergency lockdown, you know the deal, lock the doors and windows, turn the lights off, and stay out of sight (aka, don't go near the windows). It reminded me of my Freshman year, where we had to do an emergency lockdown because of a bomb threat, instead of a gun threat (I fell asleep during that lockdown, btw xD;;). It turned out to be just a stupid Senior prank (an honored Placer High traddition :/) and the person was arrested for it.
At first I thought it was just that, some sort of prank. Boy, was I WRONG! @_@ There really -was- a man driving around campus in a crappy blue truck, yelling and waving the gun from his window. Though, I didn't know this this until the whole thing was over, because of all the rumors shooting back and forth cellphone text after cellphone text, it was hard to believe in anything at that point. "There's gang activity by the Art Hall!!" "A kid brought a gun to school and now he's missing!!!" "OMG SOMEONE FOUND A MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE ON CAMPUS!!!!" ......x____o.....
It was scary enough that he was spotted the most by the building I was in @___x but most of my classmates had to make it even more nerve racking by freaking out everytime they heard an odd noise (we didn't even hear any gunshots -__-;;). I tried to distract myself by striking up a conversation with Mr. Lawrenson, our music director (I was in Chamber Choir at the time). He started talking about the stuff we might do when we go to Seattle for Spring Tour in 2008, and that seemed to calm everyone down a bit.
It was two and a half hours before they let us go though, and I was finally able to turn on my phone and call my two cousins who also went to Placer, and my mom to tell her what happened. She told me to go home and stay there until she got off work, and stay there I did. x_____X
Turns out that the story made Beaking News on KCRA 3, because
hohere_liebehad called me after watching it, although my phone was off at the time, the messege she left was like, "HOLY CRAP KAYLA ARE YOU OK??! ;A;"

For everyone else, yes I'm okay :3 I'm still kinda "whoa, wtf O_o??" though xD;;
So yeah, even after the cops chased the weirdo off school grounds, we still don't know if he was caught or not :D
