Wildfires
Looks like the wildfires here in Oklahoma haven't let up- there was one right near my friend's sisters apartment two days ago. I think she's okay. I'm getting pretty tired of hearing about fires, though... it's January, not July. It should be all snowy, or rainy, or something... but then again, this IS Oklahoma, where you can go outside to try to tan and then two minutes later find yourself being rained on. Horrible. I think the news said something about 81,000 acres being burned already- that's CRAZY. Hard to believe that so many fires have already swept through...talk about your major ozone alert. Wildfires and other natural fires put out a lot more pollution than cars or factories... yeaaaah. Too many natural distasters lately for my taste. By lately, I mean in the last few years... there was that tsunami a while back, then that huge earthquake, then hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and for a while there were a few tremors over in California... and here Oklahoma is stuck with a red flag alert for raging wildfires. I personally think something's up- but maybe it's just me. Hopefully we'll get rain soon- I saw a few clouds above my house that look promising. They're really high up, but usually when I see them it means more are on the way. Rain sounds nice... I wish it rained more here. I was told it usually rains a lot in Seattle.... maybe I'll move there someday.
