i dont know where it came from, but im answering it now!

1. If you have to choose between locally grown or organic, which do you usually choose?
i would love to say locally grown, but i have to go with organic. of course, if my local farmers were organic, like at my old farmers' market, this would not be an issue.

2. Favourite way to prepare potatoes:
boiled with margarine; mashed with soymilk; fried for breakfast.

3. Do you press your tofu before preparing/cooking it (if you eat soy)?
it depends on what im doing with it. there are LOTS of things i can make and love without pressing tofu, but the texture of pressed is nice sometimes.

4. Name your favorite recipe that is a tradition in your family:
home made irish creme. ive veganized it, of course.

5. Any food allergies?
you could say that. i happen to be blessed with a body that rejects all dairy and most fats. if i have milk, eggs, cheese, etc., or large quantities of any type of oil or fat (vegetable or meat based) i have violent, painful intestinal spasms for days, followed by all sorts of grossness. arent you glad i answered?

6. When you want to go to a fancy dinner, where do you go?
there are a few japanese places around that i like quite a bit. not exactly FANCY, but sort of special.

7. When you have a cold, what do you crave?
i dont get colds! SUCKER!

8. What kind of water do you drink? (Filtered, spring, tap, etc.)
filtered.

9. Name a flavor of soda you'd love to see:
i only drink club soda.

10. If the recipes you ate as a child were compiled into a cookbook, what would the title be?
im not feeling creative enough to answer. my mother and father were (are) both great in the kitchen, and the food they made was delicious and beautiful.

11. If you were allowed to grow one food that can't grow in your climate, what would it be?
pineapple.

12. Favorite type of mushroom?
white button. i know, im boring.

13. Most frustrating part of your kitchen?
too small! i want more counter space.

fuck protein!

chocolate, raspberry, and booze.

i cant think of the brand, but they are grain sweetened and rad.

a dutch oven.

19. Do you plan your menus in advance? Any tips to share?
i plan during my work day- rarely further ahead. i tend to be inspired to cook by the type of day ive had. i cook dinner every night.

20. You have 3 minutes before you have to leave the house and you're starving- What do you eat?
toast, nuts, or maybe last night's leftovers.

21. If Martha Stewart, Paula Deen, and Rachel Ray got into a fight, who would win and how?
martha. she is the only answer.

22. If you eat oatmeal, what do you add to it before serving?
cinnam0n, nutmeg, ginger. sometimes blueberries.

23. If you got to travel to one country and learn all the traditional dishes there, where would you go (ignore commitments in your current place of residence.)

toast or blue chips.
