Tactical politics and you; or why you might want to join the tea party

It occurs to me that the American polity has a unique opportunity to break the two party system lock right now. As the GOP gets more and more extreme, rational, sane, semi-not-stark-raving-mad conservatives are going to have to seek other solutions to their political 'needs'. A concerted campaign, to vote for the most extreme, insane, out-there tea party candidates could, very easily, break the Republican party in two. Leaving those who are somewhat still attached to reality with no choice but to form a third party, or go join the donkey show. Ideally, the third party would draw conservative democrats into it, thus giving us a real break from the two party system, at the very least. And possibly opening up the window for a more Parliamentary/coalition government style which might mean less deadlock and more cooperation.
So...next time you hear someone say that the UN is trying to take over the world, or that Obama is an alien (of whatever kind), or that 'mexicans' should learn to speak English, or that Canada is our peaceful neighbor to the North, or whatever crazy insane racist nonsense a tea partier spews...don't scorn them. Don't hate them. Help them. Vote for them. Help the Republican party reach back to its roots and clean out its closets and build a big old fort with walls of hate and fear and let them become well established in the 'trenches' of the political landscape. Because, at this point, if your answer to all this political garbage, being airport scanned and NSA spied on and shutdown, is to vote Democrat...you're failing to recognize the problem.
