I also think it's a cool shirt, but I also think that one of the complaints mentioned in the article has a point. Instead of trying to indicate equality between gay and straight, it's saying that being gay is better than being straight.

It's better to be bi, of course!

*grins* Cutie. I think the problem with that argument is...clothes are one of our status markers in society. I forget what we call them but they're...emblems of status. We communicate through our clothes. In other words...the 'popular' kid wearing $105 jeans is saying they're better. It's a totally valid point that we shouldn't be saying that...but it is part of the psyche of high school too and...unless we figure out how to change that, this is just another instance of something that already goes on. Doesn't make it okay, but...doesn't make it any worse than the skater kids wearing Converse.

LOL! The Converse thing is just sooo funny to me. They were the cheap tennis shoes when I was a teen.

And I guess I've never been one to follow the "popular" fashions. Still don't, $20 Lee Riders from Walmart work just fine for me.

*nods* I know, me too. I always assumed that's why skaters wore them. Easy to replace when you trash.
