Don't panic, I'm a mechanic....

So Safeway (or whatever it is called in your country) has these great pre-made Cobb salads. Because, frankly? There's no way in hell I'm going to boil an egg and cube some meat and whatever all that. And salad without something else is...weeds.

Unfortunately, Safeway was out of salad. So I went into the gourmet/organic food section and found a cobb salad. 270 calories. It says so on the label. A palmful of bacon bits, a palmful of cubed ham, another of egg, and a container of bleu cheese that isn't even big enough to get the whole tip of my junk wet, let alone adequate service the salacious needs of my salad. Now, obviously, this isn't going to work. If you are eating salad, and worried about counting your calories, the world has been broken. Wtf.

So anyway, I brought it home and doused it with bleu cheese, and added croutons, chopped black olives, shredded cheese, shredded carrots, Parmesan and sunflower seeds. And broiled a T-bone steak. Now it's a proper salad. I bet we're looking at an easy 7-900 calories. Before the beef portion of dinner. Mmmm. I love salad. Don't you?
