Monday morning...
I spent most of my weekend either watching or playing soccer, and now I'm rather tired. Oh well.
Saturday we went to watch Birkenhead play, reserves and Prems. They were playing Easten Suburbs so I got to catch up with Matt and to ask how Tracey is doing. Also had a chat to Bill about how the Melbourne SubFootball is going, Bill is a very interesting person to talk to. Rudemski was there as well but all he wanted to know was what happened to Chris, hehe. It was a nice afternoon out.
Saturday night Vantle and Cam came over and we all went to Andre's 21st. It was a fairly stereotypical 21st... I don't know about Cam but Khan enjoyed it, especially since we arrived just in time to see the stripper hehehe
Managed to have a chat with Andre later on, he seems to be doing well for himself. He's got a job working on Lamborghinis and Ferraris and the like... His boss was there, taking photos to plaster all over the walls at work on Monday hehehe
Sunday I played for the reserves in the rain, we drew 3-3. Should have won but I screwed up a couple of times and they got a couple of goals. grrrr. I sat on the bench for the prems, got a bit of a run in the second half but it was already 3-0 to us by the time I got on the field so the result was never really in doubt. Next week should be interesting as we are down at Papakura, playing against my old team. hmmm.
Urgh it was horrible last night, we were watching the Fiji-England Hong Kong Sevens final live on tv and one of the Fijians got tackled, his legs had been lifted in the air and he was holding the ball with his left hand, he put his right hand out to land on and it bent at right angles, half-way between his wrist and elbow! It was awful to watch! He was stretchered off...
I should get on with some work. No Steve this week, he is at AAN, so all seems rather quiet.
