Civil War

Overall, I think what I found most surprising about the latest Marvel offering was not the layered, even-handed storytelling, nor the consistent characterization or even all the hotness on display. What I found most surprising is that Tony Stark has coffee mugs from IKEA.

Thor buys everyone things form IKEA! Clint loves it, he always needs new furniture (but Thor doesn't stay to help him build it! WTF, Thor? Nat just laughs at him when he asks her for help and Tony *thinks* he can do it really fast and easy, but he can't, and halfway into building it he's re-engineering it and going to grab tools and Clint just wants a bookcase that doesn't fall over and doesn't walk by itself.)

Tony actually loves all the gadgets they have, but not to use - sometimes there is a piece of absolutely brilliant engineering in their kitchen gadget section and he has to just take a selfie with it and IKEA sales always shoot up for two days afterwards - which you would think IKEA would like, but they would rather Tony not stop by at all because seven times out of ten some villain decides to attack Ironman while Tony's trying out spatulas and garlic peelers and while Tony pays for the damages it's kind of hard on the employees and shoppers and everything.

Shoppers never do get used to wandering the couches and turning a corner to find Thor sitting there, grinning broadly at everyone, surrounded by small children listening to his stories about fighting bears.
