Gig at Irving Plaza
So last Saturday I went to Irving Plaza to watch Gogol Bordello and it was by far the greatest gig I have ever seen in my life!
I can not describe it in words but it was truly amazing (and they played Mala Vida - yay!)
We were at the barrier - violent crowd! Injury list:
one grazed elbow from somebody's shoe who was crowd surfing (which I later bumped and made bleed - then yesterday my neice pushed me over and I hurt it again - it's now a big scab!)
one bruised cheekbone and nose from somebody bashing my face onto the barrier as they were dragged off the top of the crowd.
2 bruised hip bones - a full set of bruised ribs from getting crushed.
one perfectly round black bruise on the back of my right knee which I only noticed yesterday - not a clue where that came from!
I think I am the winner! (although Alison your bumped head was pretty gorey!)
