"ATHF"
Another Christmas behind us, another year that my sister, my wife, and I made out like bandits. I've realized that there's nothing I can ever do to stop my family with showering me with gifts as if I were still nine years old, but I'm not gonna let it make me feel guilty. I appreciate what everyone does, but I refuse to turn the holidays into a spending war. My ultra sweet stash this year includes:
Dress socks
Dress shirts and tie
Gift card for a new suit and dress shoes
Ultra-comfy fleece
Awesome new personalized Eagles jersey
ATHF: Volume 5
Cash for SOM and APBA/nice evening out with my wife
It's slowly been happening, probably since I graduated college, but it wasn't until yesterday that I first realized it. I opened up that first box to find three new pairs of dress socks, and I call I could think was "SWEET!!!". When did dress socks become an awesome Christmas present? I guess it just shows how much we change as we get older.
Christmas part 2 starts this evening. I'm trying to sneak out of the office early, but no promises, since for some reason we just a busy as a normal Friday. Christmas Eve was so quiet, I was hoping our clients just figured we were closed today and wouldn't call in.
Things to look forward to this weekend:
Opening presents with Rita and Mike
OMAHA STEAKS!!!
Time with Krissy and the rest of the family
LUIGI'S!!!!!!!
A lazy Saturday evening with my wife and my laptop
The best things in life really are free, or at least relatively inexpensive.
