School Daze...

"September '75 i was 47 inches high,
My mom said by Christmas i would have..
A badass mother GI Joe, for your little minds to blow,
I still got beat up after class..

Now i'm big and important..
One angry dwarf, and 200 solemn faces are you.
If you really want to see me,
Check the papers and the tv..
Look who's tellin' who what to do.
Kiss my ass..
Goodbye.."

"One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces"

Thanksgiving came and went pretty nicely. Like all Thanksgivings, it followed pretty much the same format.

1. Drive
2. Eat
3. Talk
4. Watch football
5. Sleep
6. Drive some more

Nothing much to report other than that.

The real highlight of the weeknd however is Saturday night. I have my 10-year class reunion at the Canal Street Pub in Reading. I'm really excited (Jules is even more so, which is strange because she won't know ANYBODY there), but I'm puzzled as to why, for a couple of reasons.

1) I have NO friends left from high school. Seriously, there were three guys I ever hung out with, only one of which was in my graduating class, and we all lost touch years ago, for varying reasons.

2) I'm not really one of those people who takes pride in what others think about me. I mean, I used to be, but I've totally taken a "Fuck it" attitude, so I keep telling myself I'm not going there to show anyone up.

3) I really don't have any ill will towards anyone in high school either. I mean, in junior high, I got picked on constantly, and some of those kids who did it are gonna be at the reunion, but to be honest, once we all it high school, we all kind of grew up and moved past that. I don't harbor any resentment for it now.

So Jules and I are paying $65 to hang out with people I haven't seen in five, in some cases ten years, and eat what it is quite an unappealing menu of appetizers. I do wish Cori was coming though. She's totally spiteful towards of lot of people we went to school with, and it would have been fun to watch her bitch all night.

Other plans for the weekends

1) APBA hockey and
Cactus League basketball

2) Taking care of Vicki and Dan's piggies and ordering Christmas cards at Target

3) Housecleaning

4) Spending Thanksgiving II with the folks (minus the turkey)
