I really wish somone would explain this to me. Japan finishes second in the round robin portion of the olympic softball tournament. They play the U.S. in the elimination round. They lose. They then play for the right for the bronze medal. Australia beats Japan and wins the bronze. Because Japan lost the Bronze medal game, they then get to play... the gold medal game? Japan plays the U.S. again, this time they win. Japan gets the gold, and the U.S. gets the silver. How can you lose two straight games in tourney play and still get to play for the gold. It makes you wonder if Japan was really trying that hard against Australia. Who wants the bronze when you can lose, and then settle for either the gold or silver.
I saw the sleep doctors yesterday at Lancaster General, and based just on our brief conversation and a quick check-up, they said they would be surprised if I DON'T have slee apnea. They said I have a thick neck, an unusually small mouth, and an unusually narrow throat. Those three factors there are a dead give away. I have to schedule an appointment for a sleep study sometime next month. I arrive at the hospital at 8:30, watch some T.V. until I fall asleep, and then the doctor's monitor me all night to see what the deal is. The said that if I don't have sleep apnea, they will ask to keep me for the next morning if not the next afternoon as well to try to get me to nap for some more tests, although that think that is going to be pretty unlikely. The "cure" for sleep apnea is the CPAP, which my dad has to wear and seems to be a bit cumbersome, but on the bright side, it should frighten the cats to the point where they won't knock stuff of the dresser onto my head at 6:00 in the morning, trying to tell me to get up and feed them their breakfast.
