1. total number of films i own on dvd/video:64 dvds, 20 or so vhs
2. the last film i bought:finally got around to picking up dawn of the dead
3. the last film i watched:sin city
4. five films that i watch a lot or that mean a lot to me, and why:the 13th warrior - this really isn't that great of a movie. i don't know why i watch it as often as i do, but i like it for some reason.
breakfast at tiffany's - my favorite movie, staring my favorite actor (audrey hepburn). i get this movie.
labyrinth - fun movie, with cute songs i like to sing along with, and david bowie. end of story.
the last of the mohicans - i want to be cora. *shifty*
gone with the wind - my close-second favorite movie. i've watched this at least twice a year since i was three.
honorable mention: the princess bride, but i know this movie so well, i no longer need to watch it. i can literally recite it line for line. and, my impression of the shrieking eels is admirable, as well.

1. current fandoms:like most, this word makes me cringe. it calls to mind 14-year-old boys who rush home from school to sit in their poster-plastered rooms and watch really awful america-targeting anime, shouting "no! i am a sooper-saiyan!" when their mommies ask them to take out the garbage. also, those really weird people that dress up at conventions, but that's another discussion altogether.
that said, i thoroughly admire, even love...
tv: farscape, csi (las vegas), dog: the bounty hunter, anything having to do with scooby doo sans scrappy
authors: carol o'connell, walt whitman, hafiz
random things: zombies, duncan sheik, guild wars, the stories of laurel and midnight, gellan and inaire'e, and róec and naralissë
2. my first fandom ever:hmm... i believe this would have to be x-files. for the first four seasons or so, i was just a little obsessed. i bought books and graphic novels, the video game, posters... i even joined fansites and frequented message boards. it was a dark period; i was spiraling out of control, but i couldn't help myself. thankfully, an intervention consisting of less paranormal and more government conspiracy storylines broke me of the habit. i still relapse into syndication some nights, but now i can change the channel anytime i want. honest.
