i caught a job working as a stage manger for maryland ballet's production of sleepy hollow. i'm going to be making $25 a rehearsal, $50 for load-in and tech, and $150 a show (x 2 shows). i probably won't hit but two rehearsals, but for a kid that only ever worked as a stage manager salaried ($11.02/hour), it's great money for about 24 hours of work. it's a real gig, off the cot.
too bad it's ballet; i might go for it more often than i do.
now that things are, for lack of better phraseology, settling down, i've had the opportunity to shroud myself once again with the mantle of gaming geekdom (
ariandor has a new home, by the way; do not resist the power of
ariandor, come and play). i have new graphics and sound cards, a new speaker system, and more games than i know what to do with.
if i could find a work-from-home job, i'd be like sandra bullock in the net.
indeed.
oh, and whoever paid for another year on my account here... appreciated more than words can say. considered awfully sneaky, but appreciated, all the same.
